Ajo matet me nj\u00eb heshtje tjet\u00ebr, shum\u00eb m\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb, me heshtjen e atyre q\u00eb kan\u00eb detyr\u00ebn morale t\u00eb flasin. Historia ka provuar se nj\u00eb shoq\u00ebri mund t\u00eb mbijetoj\u00eb p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb edhe pa ekonomi t\u00eb zhvilluar, edhe pa institucione t\u00eb p\u00ebrkryera, por nuk mund t\u00eb mbijetoj\u00eb gjat\u00eb pa z\u00ebrin e elit\u00ebs s\u00eb saj mendore. Sepse pushteti, cilido qoft\u00eb ai, ka prirjen natyrore t\u00eb zgjeroj\u00eb kufijt\u00eb e vet; vet\u00ebm kultura, mendimi kritik dhe nd\u00ebrgjegjja publike i kujtojn\u00eb se ekziston nj\u00eb kufi q\u00eb nuk duhet kaluar.<\/p>\n<p>Prandaj pyetja m\u00eb shqet\u00ebsuese e koh\u00ebs son\u00eb nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb m\u00eb se \u00e7far\u00eb po b\u00ebn politika. Politika, n\u00eb fund t\u00eb fundit, do t\u00eb p\u00ebrpiqet gjithmon\u00eb t\u00eb marr\u00eb sa m\u00eb shum\u00eb pushtet. Pyetja \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr: ku jan\u00eb intelektual\u00ebt? Ku \u00ebsht\u00eb ai brez q\u00eb duhej t\u00eb ndiente i pari dhimbjen e shoq\u00ebris\u00eb, ta p\u00ebrkthente at\u00eb n\u00eb mendim, ta kthente n\u00eb debat, n\u00eb ese, n\u00eb lib\u00ebr, n\u00eb protest\u00eb morale? Ku \u00ebsht\u00eb ai njeri q\u00eb, edhe kur nuk mund t\u00eb ndryshoj\u00eb rrjedh\u00ebn e historis\u00eb, ka detyrimin t\u00eb mos lejoj\u00eb q\u00eb historia t\u00eb mbetet pa d\u00ebshmitar\u00eb?<\/p>\n<p>Nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb hera e par\u00eb q\u00eb Shqip\u00ebria p\u00ebrballet me sprova t\u00eb m\u00ebdha. P\u00ebrkundrazi, kombi yn\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb formuar pik\u00ebrisht n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet tyre. Kur rilind\u00ebsit shqiptar\u00eb nis\u00ebn betej\u00ebn p\u00ebr vet\u00ebdijen komb\u00ebtare, ata nuk kishin pas vetes universitete t\u00eb m\u00ebdha, akademi t\u00eb konsoliduara apo shtet q\u00eb t&#8217;i mb\u00ebshteste. Kishin vet\u00ebm bindjen se nj\u00eb popull q\u00eb humbet kultur\u00ebn dhe vet\u00ebdijen e vet \u00ebsht\u00eb i destinuar t\u00eb humbas\u00eb edhe lirin\u00eb. N\u00eb pak dekada, ata kryen at\u00eb q\u00eb n\u00eb vende t\u00eb tjera kishte k\u00ebrkuar shekuj. Krijuan alfabetin, shkoll\u00ebn, shtypin, let\u00ebrsin\u00eb, mendimin politik dhe i dhan\u00eb nj\u00eb populli t\u00eb shp\u00ebrndar\u00eb ndjenj\u00ebn se ishte nj\u00eb komb. Ishte nj\u00eb mrekulli e mendimit p\u00ebrpara se t\u00eb ishte nj\u00eb mrekulli politike.<\/p>\n<p>Po k\u00ebshtu ndodhi edhe n\u00eb vitet tridhjet\u00eb. Nj\u00eb brez i t\u00ebr\u00eb intelektual\u00ebsh e kuptoi se Shqip\u00ebria nuk mund t\u00eb nd\u00ebrtonte t\u00eb ardhmen vet\u00ebm mbi administrat\u00ebn apo ekonomin\u00eb. Duhej nd\u00ebrtuar m\u00eb par\u00eb njeriu shqiptar. Prandaj ata ngrit\u00ebn nj\u00eb program t\u00eb t\u00ebr\u00eb kulturor, jo p\u00ebr t&#8217;i sh\u00ebrbyer pushtetit, por p\u00ebr ta emancipuar shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb. Ata polemizuan me nj\u00ebri-tjetrin, kund\u00ebrshtuan ide, nd\u00ebrtuan shkolla mendimi, p\u00ebrkthyen filozofi, krijuan revista, ngrit\u00ebn standarde t\u00eb reja t\u00eb debatit publik. Nuk k\u00ebrkonin privilegje; k\u00ebrkonin ndikim moral. Nuk prisnin dekorata; prisnin q\u00eb fjala e tyre t\u00eb zgjonte nd\u00ebrgjegjen komb\u00ebtare.<\/p>\n<p>Historia shqiptare njeh edhe nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr shembull t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsish\u00ebm. N\u00eb periudha t\u00eb ndryshme t\u00eb shekullit XX, personalitete si Ismail Kadare, Ibrahim Rugova, Fehmi Agani, Rexhep Qosja dhe shum\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb, secili n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00ebn e vet, e kuptuan se shkrimtari dhe intelektuali nuk mund t\u00eb jetojn\u00eb t\u00eb ndar\u00eb nga fati i kombit. Ata mund t\u00eb kishin dallime t\u00eb m\u00ebdha politike ose estetike, por kishin nj\u00eb pik\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt: nuk pranuan q\u00eb kultura t\u00eb b\u00ebhej sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtore e frik\u00ebs. N\u00eb rrethana t\u00eb ndryshme historike, secili mbrojti, me mjetet e veta, dinjitetin e mendimit dhe t\u00eb identitetit shqiptar.<\/p>\n<p>Pik\u00ebrisht p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb arsye heshtja e sotme e intelektual\u00ebve shqiptar ting\u00ebllon kaq e r\u00ebnd\u00eb. Nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb se mungojn\u00eb profesor\u00ebt, akademik\u00ebt, studiuesit, artist\u00ebt apo gazetar\u00ebt. P\u00ebrkundrazi, ndoshta nuk kemi pasur kurr\u00eb kaq shum\u00eb diploma, tituj, institucione dhe konferenca. Por rrall\u00ebher\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb ndjer\u00eb kaq pak prania morale e intelektualit n\u00eb jet\u00ebn publike. Sikur dija t\u00eb ishte mbyllur n\u00eb laborator\u00eb, arti n\u00eb galeri, universiteti n\u00eb auditore dhe nd\u00ebrgjegjja n\u00eb muret e sht\u00ebpis\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Kjo nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb vet\u00ebm nj\u00eb \u00e7\u00ebshtje karakteri individual. \u00cbsht\u00eb edhe nj\u00eb fenomen i koh\u00ebs son\u00eb. Pushteti modern nuk k\u00ebrkon domosdoshm\u00ebrisht ta burgos\u00eb intelektualin. M\u00eb shpesh p\u00ebrpiqet ta b\u00ebj\u00eb t\u00eb panevojsh\u00ebm. Nuk e hesht gjithmon\u00eb me censur\u00eb; e mbulon me privilegje, me komoditet, me projekte, me financime, me poste, me nj\u00eb ndjenj\u00eb t\u00eb \u00ebmb\u00ebl sigurie q\u00eb e b\u00ebn t\u00eb harroj\u00eb arsyen pse ekziston. Tiranit\u00eb klasike e kishin armikun p\u00ebrball\u00eb. Pushtetet moderne si ky i Edi Ram\u00ebs\u00a0preferojn\u00eb ta ken\u00eb pran\u00eb, t\u00eb qet\u00eb, t\u00eb k\u00ebnaqur, t\u00eb bindur se neutraliteti \u00ebsht\u00eb forma m\u00eb e lart\u00eb e men\u00e7uris\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Por neutraliteti i intelektualit nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb gjithmon\u00eb urt\u00ebsi. Shpesh \u00ebsht\u00eb dor\u00ebheqje. Sepse intelektuali nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb thjesht nj\u00eb specialist i dijes. Ai \u00ebsht\u00eb kujtesa morale e shoq\u00ebris\u00eb. Ai nuk ka p\u00ebr detyr\u00eb t\u00eb fitoj\u00eb zgjedhje, por t\u00eb mos lejoj\u00eb q\u00eb e v\u00ebrteta t\u00eb humbas\u00eb n\u00eb zhurm\u00ebn e propagand\u00ebs. Ai nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb i thirrur t\u00eb z\u00ebvend\u00ebsoj\u00eb politikanin, por t\u00eb kujtoj\u00eb vazhdimisht se politika nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb mbi njeriun.<\/p>\n<p>Kur lexon historin\u00eb europiane, kupton se emrat m\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj nuk u b\u00ebn\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj vet\u00ebm nga librat q\u00eb shkruan. Ata u b\u00ebn\u00eb t\u00eb till\u00eb sepse nuk pranuan t\u00eb heshtnin kur koha u k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb flisnin. \u00c9mile Zola nuk do t\u00eb kujtohej nj\u00ebsoj pa &#8220;J&#8217;accuse&#8221;. Albert Camus nuk do t\u00eb kishte t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn pesh\u00eb pa refuzimin e \u00e7do forme arbitrariteti. V\u00e1clav Havel nuk do t\u00eb ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb simbol vet\u00ebm si dramaturg, por sepse e shnd\u00ebrroi kultur\u00ebn n\u00eb p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsi qytetare. N\u00eb secilin rast, pena nuk z\u00ebvend\u00ebsoi politik\u00ebn; ajo i kujtoi politik\u00ebs kufijt\u00eb e saj moral\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Edhe Shqip\u00ebria ka njohur momente t\u00eb tilla. Vaso Pasha nuk shkroi vet\u00ebm vargje. Ai i drejtoi kombit nj\u00eb britm\u00eb q\u00eb ting\u00ebllon ende sot: &#8220;Po Shqipni, m&#8217;u duke e mjera Shqipni&#8230;&#8221; Nuk ishte nj\u00eb vajtim sentimental. Ishte nj\u00eb kamban\u00eb alarmi. Ishte p\u00ebrpjekja p\u00ebr ta zgjuar nj\u00eb popull para se historia ta zinte n\u00eb gjum\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Sot pyetja mbetet po aq e dhimbshme. A \u00ebsht\u00eb shoq\u00ebria jon\u00eb duke kaluar nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr \u00e7ast kur kambanat bien, por askush nuk del n\u00eb dritare? A po m\u00ebsohemi me padrejt\u00ebsin\u00eb, me largimin e njer\u00ebzve, me varf\u00ebrimin e debatit publik, me z\u00ebvend\u00ebsimin e argumentit nga spektakli? N\u00ebse po, at\u00ebher\u00eb problemi nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb vet\u00ebm politik. \u00cbsht\u00eb kulturor. \u00cbsht\u00eb moral. \u00cbsht\u00eb kriz\u00eb e vet\u00ebdijes.<\/p>\n<p>Nj\u00eb komb nuk zbrazet vet\u00ebm kur ikin qytetar\u00ebt e tij. Ai zbrazet edhe kur largohen idealet, kur hesht fjala e lir\u00eb, kur dija heq dor\u00eb nga p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsia dhe kur arti k\u00ebnaqet vet\u00ebm me estetik\u00ebn, duke harruar njeriun. At\u00ebher\u00eb qytetet mbeten t\u00eb banuara, por fillojn\u00eb t\u00eb ngjajn\u00eb me skena ku aktor\u00ebt luajn\u00eb pa spektator\u00eb dhe spektator\u00ebt jetojn\u00eb pa shpres\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb e nevojshme q\u00eb \u00e7do intelektual t\u00eb jet\u00eb militant. As q\u00eb \u00e7do shkrimtar t\u00eb b\u00ebhet tribun. Liria e mendimit p\u00ebrfshin edhe t\u00eb drejt\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb zgjedhur m\u00ebnyr\u00ebn e shprehjes. Por askush nuk mund t\u00eb heq\u00eb dor\u00eb nga p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsia p\u00ebr t\u00eb mos e quajtur normale at\u00eb q\u00eb nd\u00ebrgjegjja e di se \u00ebsht\u00eb e padrejt\u00eb. Heshtja nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb gjithmon\u00eb neutralitet; ndonj\u00ebher\u00eb ajo b\u00ebhet pjes\u00eb e mekanizmit q\u00eb e zgjat padrejt\u00ebsin\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Ndoshta drama m\u00eb e madhe e koh\u00ebs son\u00eb nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb se mungojn\u00eb intelektual\u00ebt. Ata ekzistojn\u00eb. Shkruajn\u00eb, japin leksione, botojn\u00eb libra, marrin pjes\u00eb n\u00eb konferenca. Drama \u00ebsht\u00eb se shoq\u00ebria nuk e ndien m\u00eb frym\u00ebmarrjen e tyre. Z\u00ebri i tyre nuk arrin t\u00eb b\u00ebhet busull morale n\u00eb koh\u00eb mjegulle. Dhe kur nj\u00eb komb humbet busull\u00ebn, ai mund t\u00eb ec\u00eb p\u00ebr shum\u00eb koh\u00eb, por nuk e di m\u00eb se ku po shkon.<\/p>\n<p>Historia jon\u00eb aktualisht nuk u k\u00ebrkon intelektual\u00ebve t\u00eb jen\u00eb heronj. U k\u00ebrkon di\u00e7ka shum\u00eb m\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00eb: t\u00eb mbeten besnik\u00eb ndaj s\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebs edhe kur ajo nuk sjell lavdi, as privilegj, as duartrokitje. Sepse, n\u00eb fund, kombet nuk rr\u00ebnohen vet\u00ebm nga gabimet e pushteteve.
